Petter Osmundsen
This is one of the research areas of Petter Osmundsen, Professor of Petroleum Economics at the University of Stavanger, where he heads the Section of Petroleum Economics in the Department of Industrial Economics and Risk Management. His other research topics include contract theory, incentive design, market analysis, and engineering – as applied to the petroleum sector. In his department, he conducts empirical research together with specialists in econometrics. Many of the research topics involve both economic and technical matters.
Petter Osmundsen will be CESifo guest researcher from 16 to 21 September and will liaise with members of the Ifo Center for Energy, Climate and Exhaustible Resources.
Mr Osmundsen has a PhD from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). In 1992/93 he was a research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has previously held positions as associate professor at NHH at the Department of Economics and adjunct professor at the Department of Finance and Management science, and he has been senior researcher at the NHH affiliate Institute for Research in Economics and Business Administration (SNF).
