Climate notes: Energy Research in Europe

In terms of its climate and energy policy the EU has set various goals for 2020. These include a 20% reduction in greenhouse gases and an increase in the share of renewable energy to 20% of overall European energy consumption. Energy efficiency should also be improved by 20%. This article offers an overview of the research budget for the energy sector in EU countries.
