European civil engineering in 2007 experienced its eleventh year of uninterrupted growth. According to the latest forecasts of the experts from the 19 member states of the Euroconstruct network, the outlook for the years 2008 to 2010 continue to be good. Particularly the new EU member states in Central and Eastern Europe will show high growth rates. The robust demand for civil engineering in these countries will come particularly from extensive investments in the infrastructure, with a further expansion of the road network clearly standing in the foreground.
