European Residential Construction Plunges to Twenty-Year Low – Moderate Recovery Expected as of 2014: Selected Results from the Euroconstruct Summer Conference 2013

The residential construction market in Europe is continuing to contract. This was the finding of the members of the Euroconstruct Group at its summer conference in London. This year residential construction even plunged to its lowest value for 20 years. For 2014 construction experts only expect a moderate increase of 1%. Residential construction activities in the 19 partner countries are not forecast to pick up significantly until 2015 with a total increase of 2½%.
