Job offer at Maastricht University

The Department of Economics of Maastricht University offers a tenure track Assistant Professorship position in Microeconomics (esp. Economic Theory, Industrial Organization), Public Economics (esp. micro-based), Behavioral-, Experimental-, and Neuroeconomics to commence in 2016.

To apply for the job, a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field (completed or nearly completed) is required, as well as a strong affinity with academic research and teaching.

ILR Review: Call for papers

The ILR Review seeks papers for a conference and subsequent special issue devoted to improving the understanding of The Labor Market and Human Resource Management Implications of Entrepreneurship".

Diane Burton (Cornell University), Rob Fairlie (UC Santa Cruz), and Don Siegel (University at Albany, SUNY) will be the guest editors of the issue.

The conference will be held at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC, in October 2016. Scholars interested in participating should submit an abstract to the Journal by July 1, 2016.

The abstract should be three to five pages and contain a description of the research question addressed, data sources, and proposed methodology. The nature of the arguments and findings should be previewed.

Euregio Economics Meeting: Call for papers

The Euregio Economics Meeting will be held at the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano, Italy from 7 April to 8 April 2016.

Organised by Federico Boffa, Guenter Schamel, Steven Stillman, and Mirco Tonin, the meeting will offer an opportunity for researchers in all fields of Economics from the Universities of Bozen - Bolzano, Innsbruck and Trento, as well as from other research institutions located in the Euregio area, to discuss their research in an informal environment.

The keynote speaker will be Uwe Sunde (University of Munich).

To submit a paper or an extended abstract, please send a pdf by February 24th.

Call for applications for the Munich Graduate School of Economics

The Department of Economics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München offers various doctoral scholarships and doctoral positions as research or teaching assistants. Successful candidates will pursue their Ph.D. studies at the Munich Graduate School of Economics (MGSE).

To apply for one of the positions a completed Master's degree in economics is required. Exceptions from this rule are possible in special circumstances. Candidates should be highly motivated to conduct independent research. Fluency in German language is not required for admission.

JPET: Special Issue on "Taxation and Regulation in the Digital Economy"

The Association for Public Economic Theory (PET) is soliciting papers for a special issue of JPET devoted to taxation and regulation in the digital economy. Papers on taxation of two-sided platforms, international tax competition in the digital economy, regulation and privacy protection are particularly welcome.

Guest Editors are Maya Bacache, Francis Bloch and Jacques Cremer.

Papers should be submitted directly to Professor Francis Bloch.

Deadline for submission is 21 March 2016.


Centre for Business Taxation: Call for papers

From Tuesday 28 June – Friday 1 July, 2016, the tenth annual symposium of the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation will be held. The symposium will take place at Saïd Business School in Oxford.

Papers dealing with any topics related to business taxation in its broadest sense, including papers from economics, law and other disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary contributions are welcome to be submitted.

Deadline for submissions is Monday 29 February, 2016 and papers should be submitted using the electronic form.
