Michael Rauscher has been an Ifo research professor since 2002, working closely together with the Department of Public Finance. He advises department staff in their research and gives suggestions for new areas of research.
Since 2003 Professor Michael Rauscher has also offered research advice to the Department of Energy, Environment and Exhaustible Resources.
Currently, Prof. Rauscher is collaborating on the project "Creation, diffusion and impact of sustainability innovations – further methodological development of the analytical instruments, empirical implementation and the relationship to selected environmental- and innovation-policy fields of action and instruments". The project research team consists of Prof. Rauscher (University of Rostock), Prof. Peter Egger, Dr. Mario Larch (Ifo Research Professors), Dr. Tilmann Rave, Dr. Ursula Triebswetter, Dr. Johann Wackerbauer (Energy, Environment and Exhaustible Resources) as well as Prof. Gerald Pruckner of the University of Innsbruck and Prof. Sascha Becker (Warwick University). For this project Prof. Rauscher has developed a theoretical model for depicting innovation spillovers. Numerous project meetings and workshops contribute to an effective co-operation.
This successful co-operation has been extended for three additional years.
