Throughout the year, CES hosts accomplished economists from universities across the world, as our lists of current and past years' CES visitors indicate (see links on the right). CES visitors typically stay for 2-8 weeks. While at CES, visitors are free to pursue their own research, while attending seminars at CES and the economics department. They may also be requested to hold a 3-session graduate lecture series, or talk about their own research at one of the departmental seminars.
CES is located in the heart of downtown Munich, near the beautiful English Garden city park. As a CES visitor you will be generally provided a round trip ticket, accommodation at one of 3 nearby fully equipped university guest apartments (IBZ), and a modest per diem. You will also be provided a well-equipped office at CES. Time permitting, student research assistants may also be available to assist you with library access and copying needs.
Visitors to CES can find more detailed information pertaining to your stay here. If you are interested in visiting CES, please apply via e-mail to office(at)ces.vwl.uni-muenchen.de. Your application should outline your proposed research and a 3-part graduate lecture series you would be prepared to offer, and should include a copy of your CV listing publications in refereed economics journals. Please also detail why you want to visit this particular University and its faculty.
