Prize for Academic Research Awarded by the Friends of the Ifo Institute
As recognition and incentive for high-quality research, the Friends of the Ifo Institute society award an annual prize for academic research. The requirement is publication in a scholarly journal with a peer review process.
In 2005 the prize goes to:
Prof. Marcel Thum for the contribution "The Economics of Repeated Extortion", in: "The RAND Journal of Economics", 35 (2), 2004, 203-223.
Prize for outstanding success in the management of contract studies
The prize is given for work on a major research contract
In 2005, the Prize goes to:
Dr. Günther Vieweg, Reinhard Hild, Michael Reinhard, Dr. Uwe Täger, Thomas Fuchs, Andreas Kuhlmann and Stefan Lachenmaier. for the project:"State and Outlook of the “New Economy” in Selected EU Member States from a German Viewpoint" (Project).
A special prize goes to
former Ifo researcher Dr. Oscar-Erich Kuntze for his extensive publications in the area of international business-cycle analyses.
