The Munich Seminars are a joint initiative of CESifo and the Süddeutsche Zeitung, and are chaired by Hans-Werner Sinn and by Marc Beise (Chief Editor, Economics, Süddeutsche Zeitung). The midday seminar is organised by Prof. Marcel Thum, Director of the Dresden Branch of the Ifo Institute and Professor for Public Finance at the Technical University of Dresden.
