The CESifo International Spring Conference of the Ifo Institute, hold on 23 and 24 March 2006 in Berlin, dealt with the highly topical issue of high energy prices and how they affect the global economy in general and the European one in particular. Internationally renowned experts in finance and economics dealt with different aspects of this issue during the first day.
The second day was devoted to the prospects for the European manufacturing industries in the coming year, in particular the chemical, automotive, mechanical engineering and logistics industries.
