Will the crisis in the financial sector now inevitably be followed by a series of national debt crises? What are the economic perspectives for Europe as a whole and the Euro in particular? These will be the main topics addressed by the first panel.
The second panel will explore the consequences of the economic and financial crisis for labour markets in Europe and examine the success or failure of activation policies in different EU member states. Details on the Forum's panels can be found in the enclosed preliminary programme.

The Ifo-CoR BrIEF, a annual conference series, is co-organised by the Munich-based Ifo Institute for Economic Research and the European Union’s Committee of the Regions.
