With its business surveys the Ifo Institute collects data that are of great interest for empirical economic research both in Germany and abroad.
Long time-series are provided in Excel format for facilitating further processing by the user. This service can be found at Ifo Time Series.
The extensive data stocks of the Ifo Institute's business surveys are available as aggregated results. An overview of the time series that can be ordered from the Ifo Institute is contained in our German language product catalogue (PDF, 32 KB).
The Ifo time series can be ordered in the conventional way (mail, fax or e-mail). Please specify the desired time series (category, industry/sector, region, time period and desired form of delivery). The aggregated results of the business surveys are passed on as data sets. They are stored as tables (data formats: Excel, ASCII) and forwarded to you on diskettes or by e-mail.
For orders of time series, we need information on industry/sector, region, and time period. A standing order applies for 1 year; unless six-weeks notice to the end of the year is given, it is automatically extended for an additional year.
The use of the data is only for private information. Re-sale or publication requires the permission of the Ifo Institute.
