The diagram depicts the country mean test scores for reading in the PISA 2009 study for a selection of different participating countries. The test scores were standardized to have a mean of 500 across all OECD countries. The highest average test score was achieved by students in Finland where the country mean test score reached 554. Germany was placed above the average of OECD countries with an average country test score of 520.
