The project examines how different approaches of IPPC implementation have an impact on competitiveness of selected industries both within the EU and in relation to their non-EU competitor countries. It is one of six projects carried out within the framework of the IPPC review process.
The question of effects on competitiveness within the EU will be answered by a literature review and by a survey amongst selected industries and firms. Moreover, there will be site visits investigating the question in further depth. Any international competitiveness implications will be analysed with the help of a literature survey and an analysis of trade statistics.
National and international statistics; data from site visits; survey data.
