In this investment survey, which is now part of Ifo Business Survey for wholesaling and retailing, the participants are asked to list their planned investments, subdivided according to buildings and equipment. These data are subsequently incorporated into the National Accounts of the Federal Statistical Office.

Official statistics only used for extrapolations since survey collects its own primary data.
Results are analysed in ifo Schnelldienst and released to the press. The data are also included in the National Accounts of the Federal Statistical Office.
