On behalf of the Saxon Ministry of Economy and Labour the IER institute develops a new energy program for the Federal State of Saxony. As sub-order the ifo Branch Dresden generates a projection of the economic and demographic development in Saxony until the year 2030. The forecast of gross value added and employment will have a breakdown by industry according to their relevance as consumers of energy. In addition, forecasts the employment rate of several branches and sectors as well as the general development of the whole labour market will be worked out. The study will be completed by a forecast of the demographic development and the development of the housing as well as the transportation sector.
