Monitoring of business trends is one of the most important research activities of the Dresden branch. Major efforts were undertaken to design a comprehensive indicator of business trends for Saxony. With the Ifo Business Climate for Saxony there is now such an indicator available that quickly and reliably shows economic trends. The results of the analysis and forecast of business trends are presented and discussed during the semi-annual sessions of the working group.
