“Quarterly regional accounts for Saxony” is a project conducted in cooperation with the Statistical Office of Saxony. The goal of the project is to provide additional, high frequency data for business cycle analyses and forecasts within the framework of regional accounts for Saxony.
Quarterly values for Saxony are estimated by means of temporal disaggregation techniques. The estimates for real GDP and GVA are consistent with the yearly regional accounts for Saxony, published by the Working Group “Regional Accounts” (Arbeitskreis Volkswirtschaftliche Gesamtrechnungen der Länder).
National and regional accounts for Germany and the German federal states, regional business-cycle indicators and data provided by the Statistical Office of Saxony.
The results of the quarterly regional accounts for Saxony are published four times a year in "Ifo Dresden". The most recent results can be downloaded from the website "Ifo Dresden“.
