Content:

Construction of a database on unit-labour costs by sectors, as defined by NACE (on 2-digit level for manufacturing in dustries and on 1-digit level for the service sector). The database will be constructed for all OECD member countries, plus India, China, Brazil and Russia.
Identification of drivers for developments and asssessment of the performance

Methods:

Assessment of sectoral competitiveness based on nominal unit-labour costs by the application of real effective exchange rates against the most important competing economies, as measured by trade intensities.
