The ifo institute undertook on behalf of Randstad Germany GmbH & Co. KG considerations with regard to a flexibility index, with the aim to develop an instrument suitable to gather the relevant information, to analyze the results, to design an index, and test the quality of this index. On the basis of the newly gained experience recommendations for a further development of the index shall be made.
After the survey had been conducted the results were descriptively analysed and a potential analysis of the survey data was carried out. Furthermore, the index has been checked for reliability and validity through various statistical tests.
