The European Economic Advisory Group (EEAG) was founded in 2001. Supported by Ifo's research staff, it provides an annual report on the European Economy which includes a growth forecast as well as other topical European themes.
The Group consists of eight internationally known economists from seven European countries, chaired by Jan-Egbert Sturm (ETH Zurich). It includes Lars Calmfors (Stockholm University), Giancarlo Corsetti (University of Cambridge), John Hassler (Stockholm University), Gilles Saint-Paul (University of Toulouse), Hans-Werner Sinn (Ifo Institute and University of Munich), Akos Valentinyi (Cardiff University) and Xavier Vives (IESE Business School).
