Call for PapersOn 9-11 May 2003, CESifo will organise a conference in Munich for members of the Public Sector Economics area of the CESifo Research Network. The conference is intended to give an overview of the current research undertaken by members of the Public Sector Economics area of the network and to stimulate interaction and co-operation between area members. All CESifo research network members are invited to submit their papers, which may deal with any topic in Public Economics. Depending on the number of submissions, the conference programme may be organised in parallel sessions focusing on particular themes. Papers for the conference will be selected partly with a view to securing coherence of the conference programme. Some of the sessions will be reserved for presentation of papers by young scholars under the age of 35 working in the field of Public Economics. An invited lecture will be given by Robin Boadway. The deadline for submission of papers or abstracts is 1 March 2003. CESifo research network members interested in presenting a paper should send their paper or a 2-3 page abstract to the conference organiser: Peter Birch Sørensen
Submission of papers to Peter Birch Sørensen by e-mail (in pdf format) is welcome. Authors of submitted papers will be notified no later than 1 April whether their paper has been accepted for the conference. Preference will be given to papers over abstracts. CESifo will provide accommodation and will reimburse economy travel costs for all CESifo research network members with accepted papers or other active roles in the conference. Other network members are invited to participate, but are expected to provide their own funding for travel and accommodation. Further questions regarding the organisation and content of the conference should be addressed to the conference organiser. |
