Results of the December 2012 Ifo Business Survey German Service Sector: Ifo Business Climate Indicator Rises Sharply
After two successive decreases, the Ifo Business Climate Indicator for the German service sec-tor rose sharply and returned to September’s level. The service providers surveyed were con-siderably more satisfied with the current business situation than last month. Their assessments of the business outlook also reflected greater optimism. Employment plans remain moderately expansionary.

The indicator for the Business Climate in the service sector has not yet been incorporated into the Ifo Business Climate Index for industry and trade.
