Individual Events

The CESifo Group uses individual events to address topics and actively engage in current scientific or economic policy debates. These events include lectures, workshops, conferences and symposiums, which are sometimes organised in cooperation with partners.

  1. Official Ceremony to Mark Hans-Werner Sinn’s Retirement and the 25th Anniversary of the Center for Economic Studies (CES)

    The Center for Economic Studies (CES), founded by Hans-Werner Sinn, celebrated its 25th anniversary in January 2016, and a short time later – on 31 March 2016 – Hans-Werner Sinn’s presidency of the Ifo Institute came to an end. To mark these occasions, the Ifo Institute, CESifo GmbH, and the Economics Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich jointly organised an official ceremony (in German), supported by the Society for the Promotion of Economic Research (Friends of the Ifo Institute).   2. International Scientific Symposium to Mark Hans-Werner Sinn’s Retirement and the 25th Anniversary of the Center for Economic Studies (CES)

  8. The Acceptance and Feasibility of Education Reforms: Tapping Education Potential

    “The acceptance and feasibility of education reforms: tapping education potential” is the topic of this year’s Education Policy Forum organised by the Leibniz Association’s education potential speaker group. The Forum will take place in the Association’s Schleswig Holstein office in Berlin on 1 October 2015. The Forum will explore how education reforms can be successfully implemented. The Education Policy Forum is aimed at representatives from education policy and administration, social partners, foundations, professional and sponsor organisations, researchers and members of the public with an interest in education policy.
