7. Health Outcomes

Health outcomes include data on the health status of the population, as well as on non-medical determinants of health. The health status of the population is described by variables such as life expectancy and mortality. Data on absence from work due to illness also offers information about health status. Alcohol and tobacco consumption and data on the share of the population that is overweight or obese are examples of non-medical determinants of health.
